Hi, I just updated from 1810 and very strange things happen.
1) when I start typing entire editor started blinking for a short while (redrawing contents), when it stopped I found no coloring on code
2) I did copy-paste, it blinked again, also the editor tabs get shorted to 3-4 pixels wide, document names disappeared
3) when I selected another editor, tabs return to normal
4) when using "Go" button on a function, it jumped to right window, but tabs broke again
5) I noticed strange characters at the end of edited file, just after last declaration (two squares, an arrow and some others)
6) I entered VA options and cleared cache and requested to rebuild DB
7) when closing IDE it crashed with "access violation reading location 0x00000030"
8) no changes were saved to source code actually the header I edited got broken, a part of it was shifted left, some tabs removed and two characters from several previous lines were inserted into new lines
9) after rebuild of DB it started to behave normal

I tried this in a clean machine: 1810 -> 1812 but haven't seen any problem. Exit hasn't crashed. I hope it was a one-off problem.
If anything like this will happen again, we can dig deeper (for example if you send your IDE & VA settings I may be able to repro this), but now it may not worth the effort. |
