Hello,
I am using the Version 10.7.1925.0 built 2012.12.14 + Visual Studio 2010 + Windows 7 64 bit.
Recently, I found that the Alt+G doesn't work anymore. However, the menu Goto Implementation works fine. Other hot key works fine.
Alt+G is the most used hot key in Visual AssisitX for me.
Can someone help me fix the problem?
Thank you |

It sounds like your keyboard shortcuts have changed. Can you please look in:
IDE Tools menu -> Options... -> Options dialog -> Environment -> Keyboard
and in "show commands containing" enter "VAssistX.GotoImplementation"
What keyboard shortcuts, if any, are listed? You should be seeing "Alt+G (Text Editor)"
If you are not seeing this keyboard shortcut you can simply add it from here, and the options dialog should tell you if a different command has been mapped to Alt-G, which might help to explain what happened here. |

Just found some new issues.
The key combination just doesn't want to accept Alt+G. Tried two keyboards and experienced the same issue.
I have to use Alt+f for now.
Do you know why such an issue happens? |

Does anything happen when you press Alt-G? My first thought is that something is catching this keyboard shortcut at a global / windows level, so the IDE never sees Alt-G.
If so, the program that is catching Alt-G should be doing something in response to this command. Do you have any keyboard shortcut utilities running? Shortcuts on your windows desktop you have assigned keyboard shortcuts to? |

@feline,
Out of my mind, I don't know. When I set the key combination in VS2010 for Alt+G, it just doesn't show up in the enter box. I have to choose Alt+F for now.
Is there a way that I can find out which software/system program set up the Alt+G in windows 7? |

A quick search turned up this site: http://hkcmdr.anymania.com/
I have just downloaded and installed "Windows Hotkey Explorer Free!" and it is running on my Windows 7 64bit test system, and reporting all global hot keys quite happily. I did have to install it to use it.
I would suggest closing any running programs, including any system tray icons, one by one, or just going straight to this program, and see if you can find out which program is trapping Alt-G. |
