Posted - Oct 27 2009 : 10:33:50 AM I tried demo, demo expired, I purchased product, I uninstalled demo version, then installed purchased version (that was downloaded), and it is disabled in Visual Studio, and can't activate the product.

instructions said to do so via VAssistX -> VAssistX Options...etc...i rushed through launching vs, and closed it, and didn't notice it initially |

Posted - Oct 27 2009 : 11:42:29 AM When you load the IDE do you get any form of dialog asking you for your license key? I am guessing you have not entered your license key, but if this is the case then VA should be prompting you for your key.
If you run regedit do you have either of the following two keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato\\Visual Assist X\\UserKey = "???" HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato\\Visual Assist X\\UserName = "???"
if you do can you try making sure all IDE instances are closed, then delete them, then load the IDE. Does this make any difference?
One more thing to try, you can tell the IDE not to load VA, as described here:
http://docs.wholetomato.com?W306
can you check and see if this has been done on your machine please? |
