Posted - May 20 2019 : 4:53:47 PM I began to write a bug report about the Paste menu but in the process of doing so I discovered that the shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+V) was apparently hijacked in VS2019 by Microsoft's own implementation of the same thing, called "Clipboard History".
So instead I thought I'd make others aware that the Paste menu still works as before, you just have to re-bind the shortcut.
The only real difference between the two is that VAX's menu is focused on the 2nd entry when it's opened. That's the entry you're most likely looking for if you've screwed up your regular Ctrl+V buffer. Little details like that is what makes VAX a genial product.

Posted - May 21 2019 : 09:41:06 AM We're happy you like Visual Assist.
Did you know that you can make it easier taking back shortcuts from Visual Studio using the below dialog? VAssistX -> Help -> Keyboard Shortcuts...
...or in VS2019:
Extensions -> VAssistX -> Help -> Keyboard Shortcuts...
Fun fact that if you want to restore the VAssistX menu in the main menu, you can do so using the following extension: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Evgeny.RestoreExtensions
I did that and it's so much easier... |
