Thanks for taking the time to report this. I believe this is intentional, although the vertical spacing could go to lose a pixel or so.

Due to our system of triage, and the fact that the developers are very busy working on hotly requested features and fixes, this is not likely to be revisited soon.

Yep, it just looks odd and could use a better spacing. It somehow merges the two options into one.
