Hi,
I have the problem, that the tooltips are to small (only a few mm), when I enable the tooltip color. It's messed up when there are braces () or [] involved, variables/defines don't have this problem. I'm using VS2002.

What font are you using for tooltips? This should be coming from:
Windows control panel -> Display -> Appearance tab -> Advanced -> Item = Tooltip
I am not seeing any problems here with C++, VS2002 and VA 1540. Could you post or send us a couple of screen shots showing this effect? If you send them in can you use gif or png format please, and use:

That is very strange. Which IDE are you using?
These tooltips are from the IDE, and VA is colouring them, but that does not explain why this happens. If you turn off:
VA Options -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> Apply Colouring to -> Tooltips
what effect does that have? As far as I am aware VA should not be changing the size of the tooltips.
Do you have any other plugins installed? |

I'm using German VS 2002 Enterprise Architect with no Service Pack. When I turn the colors off, everything is working. There's no other plugin installed.

| I have asked the developers to see if they have any ideas. For now using size 9 for your tooltips sounds like a good work around. |

Could you post a couple of screen shots showing the same tooltips with colouring turned both on and off please?
Can you reset the tooltip font size to 8 when you do this, so we can see the effect colouring has? |
