                      | Hi!
 Yesterday MS released VS 2026:
 https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/insiders

 I tried it, and looks like it works a little bit faster and smoother than VS 2022, and support most of plugins from 2022, but not Visual Assist.

 Could you please add support for Visual Studio 2026?

 Thanks!

                      | I have the same problem.

 Visual Studio 2026 support would be great :)

                      | Thank you for letting me know about this, I wasn't aware the new version of Visual Studio had been released when you posted this. I have now run some tests here, and indeed, despite the download site saying extensions are expected to work, VA doesn't work yet. I have put in a bug report for this:
 case=165962

 We have to integrate fairly deeply into the IDE to do what we do, so I would not be surprised to see some more problems as the various pre-release versions come out and change things internally, as we have seen with previous versions of Visual Studio. But hopefully we can get support up and running fairly quickly and easily this time.

 I hope everything goes smoothly. I'm really looking forward to being able to use VA in VS2026 now.

                      | This is in the list, and something we obviously need to get to fairly soon. Hopefully VS2026 won't be to much of a moving target |

                      | Is there any news regarding support for Visual Studio 2026?

                      | This is still very much on the list of things we want to fix, but fixing the rather hard to pin down license crash has been a bigger priority so far. VS2026 is clearly important, but its also still a very early release. Support is coming, but I don't have a solid estimate for when just yet. |

                      | Not the first time I have seen an article stating that all existing extensions will "just work", so not sure what's going on there. We aren't a really obscure extension with only 3 users. But not something we have control over either. |
