I have an active subscription and this morning when I opened Visual Studio I was greeted with a prompt to register VA. I tried closing and reopening VS, but it persisted. Once I re-entered my registration information, I was able to continue along just fine (and it doesn't *seem* like I lost any settings), but it was a bit odd. Here's my version info in case it helps:
VA_X64.dll file version 10.9.2547.0 built 2024.12.27 DevEnv.exe version 17.13.35931.197 Enterprise msenv.dll version 17.0.35919.92 |

It is possible that the saved out license information has become corrupted on disc. With just one prompt for your license information its rather to early to be confident in this theory, but if you are prompted again next time you load Visual Studio, then it is likely this is happening. When this happens, you are prompted every time you load Visual Studio, even though your license is valid and works correctly once re-entered.
If this starts happening, close all instances of Visual Studio, then find and delete the directory:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Embarcadero after doing this you will have to re-enter your license details one more time on loading Visual Studio, but this should fix the problem, and you won't be prompted again. |
