win10 x64 / vs2022 / va2528
With Github Copilot enabled The suggestions sometimes more intelligent. (backgroup gray text SEE PIC ABOVE)
BUT I just wonder How to gentlely close the front list [va(pic_1) or vs inner one (pic_2)] , take the copilot gray one instead? how to achieve it?
btw, So far I can only accept the front-list item or cancel it in total.

The suggestions are coming from two different places, and work in two different ways, as you can see, so we are not sure how best to approach this:

Do you have any thoughts on how you would like it to be handled?
For the moment, does setting:
Tools > Options > IntelliCode > Advanced > Accept code suggestion on right arrow
VA Options -> Enhanced Listboxes -> Commit selection with - Tab = OFF
VA Options -> Enhanced Listboxes -> Commit selection with - Enter = ON
help? When this has come up before, these options have worked for other people. |

Hi!
I had made a mistake considering the above-pic2 suggestions-list belongs to vs (actually is va too).
I have tried what's you suggest.
conclusion is "Tools > Options > IntelliCode > Advanced -> ** option works" ONLY IF switch off the Suggestoins feature of VA.
VS setting: (note the switch name is litter different)
Means: VS default suggesion list take regards to the intelligte Code Setting (RightArrow works)
The options "VA Options -> Enhanced Listboxes -> Commit selection with" not working & I have fiddled with it alot.
(tested: switch tab off <Only Enter switch On> -> suggestion pop -> Tab or RightArrow Just close the list, like input a normal keystroke without the list)
it's a bug or sth?
strong Expected behaviour is VA list can work with it like Vs inner list.
hope you can figure it out

| Are you working in C# or C++? The setting you changed suggests C#. I think previously, when people have asked about this, they were working in C++, which obviously can have some effect on the required settings. |

Not a problem, but the language is going to have some effect on the required settings.
No progress yet on this, but it is on our list of things to work on, so thank you for letting me know what was working for you. Basically we need different keyboard commands to pick up either the inline suggestion or the listbox suggestion, unless the two can somehow be merged together. But since they are coming from different places, I am not sure how easily they can be merged. |
