Russian comments are displayed incorrectly in quick info tooltips (see screenshot).

Source code is in CP1251 encoding (after changing temporary to UTF-8 everything seems ok).

After disabling VisualAssist everything seems ok.

Also I have the same problem as mentioned here https://forums.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9946.

System info:

VA_X.dll file version 10.9.2114.0 built 2016.10.15
DevEnv.exe version 14.0.25420.1 Professional
msenv.dll version 14.0.25431.1
Comctl32.dll version 6.10.14393.953
Windows 10 10.0 Build 14393 (remote)
4 processors (x86-64, WOW64)
Language info: 1251, 0x419

Is there any solution?
Thanks.

Can you please try changing your Language for non-Unicode programs setting to Russian. Under Windows 10, open control panel, via the start menu

Search the control panel for "region"

Under "Region" select "Change date, time or number formats"

This opens the Region dialog. On the Administrative tab, the setting is "Language for non-Unicode programs", and the button is "Change system locale..."

This may require a reboot to take effect. Does this have any effect on the tooltips?

For the dictionary problem in the other thread, have you tried converting the file encoding of the dictionary files as explained near the bottom of the thread by talamar? If not I can email you a set of dictionary files that have already had their file format converted, that should work correctly with VA.
