                      | Hi,
I've a fresh install of the latest VS2015.

As I develop on Arduino I've installed Arduino IDE 1603.1.0

 Then I've installed VAssistX.

Restarted VS, created a new project and then nothing's working from VA.

 VA Outline is empty
 Code highlighting is not working
 etc...

I've tried to uninstall& install several times, restart VS, reboot PC, etc....

Prior VS2015 I was using Atmel Studio 6.2, and VAssist is working well on it.

 Any help appreciated.

 BR

                      | Where did you download the Arduino IDE from? A quick web search is pointing me here:
 https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

I am not seeing any problems when installing this on a test system, but I ended up with version Arduino 1.6.7

If you load VS2015, and look in the dialog:

IDE tools menu -> Extensions and Updates...

is VA listed correctly, and is it listed as enabled or disabled?

How are you loading VS2015? Have you rebooted your system since the problem appeared?

                      | Hi,
I've downloaded Arduino IDE from the link you've posted.

 VA is listed and enabled.

I've rebooted my PC several times

                      | Can you try making a new, default C++ project. Is VA active in this test project?
I don't see anything wrong in your screen shot, and its not obvious why installing the Arduino IDE should cause problems. I am wondering if this could be related to the file extension of the files you are working with.

                      | Hi !
It's working with C++ project, not with Arduino.

 How to fix ?

Strange is that it's working under Atmel 6.2 with very old VA release.

                      | Ah, that explains what you are seeing, thank you for the update. In case it helps anyone else, our documentation on other file extensions is here:
 https://wholetomato.fogbugz.com/default.asp?W328

sometimes you need an extra step, depending on the IDE and the type of the extension.

This is a fairly rare situation, something that most of our users never need to set or change. We are trying to keep our options dialog fairly focussed, and not add every setting to it, to keep from getting overwhelmed by all of the options.
