I have all checkboxes under "Suggestions" unchecked, but whenever I type an open parenthesis (, VAX pops up an annoying box making suggestions. I just want to type code and be left alone without all these boxes flashing up in my face making suggestions that I don't need.
How do I turn them all off? |

| This might be coming from VS under Tools / Options / Text Editor / C/C++ / General / Statement completion / Parameter information; however, all the suggestions were marked with the tomato icon, so that's why I'm saying VAX shouldn't display anything there when I've unchecked all suggestions. |

| Have you tried turning off the Parameter Information setting? This is stopping the tooltop for me in VS2012. |

| As I already stated, VS wouldn't be showing this box if it weren't populated with VAX suggestions. Turning off all VAX suggestions should stop them from appearing anywhere. |

If this is actually the tooltip listing parameters for a function call, then you get this tooltip without installing VA, if the IDE option is turned On. VA is trying to enhance this tooltip, but we only do so if you have told the IDE you want the tooltip.
So it is independent of suggestions that appear when typing.
If we made the VA suggestions setting also control the parameter info tooltip this is likely to confuse people, since this would be removing something that existed before installing VA.
The listboxes setting may well help, and seems worth a try here. |
