Hi,
First off, I just started using this tool a few days ago and it's pretty great!
I just have one question: is there a way to set it so that the autocomplete listbox to only appear after I type a specified number of characters? And would this work even if the character I'm typing is embedded in some text?
For example if I have the line:
something3Whatever=value;
I want to be able to change the "3" to a "1" without having the autocomplete listbox popup. I know I can just hit escape to dismiss it but I'm hoping there's a way to save that extra step.

Unfortunately no, we don't have this option. If you want to limit some of the listboxes, then turning Off:
VA Options -> Suggestions -> Include suggestions in listboxes
should help. It depends on where and when you are seeing the listboxes really. |

Ok, thanks for your reply. Is there any plan in the future to add this feature? I tried your suggested work-around but unfortunately there are situations where I'd still like the suggestion to pop up in the listbox.

No plans currently. Are you aware of VA Snippets?

the default snippets often have 1 or 2 character shortcuts, for triggering the suggestions. Also, especially when working with local variables, it makes sense to see, and often accept a listbox after only typing one or two characters.
The down side of this is frequent listboxes, but they are all designed to try and be helpful. |

Yup, I'm aware of VA Snippets and use them, but i usually set my shortcuts to be more than one character.
Thanks for helping out anyway. I do hope that one day you'll consider this feature though. Regardless this is a great tool. Thanks for making it!

| We will keep an eye on this, but generally people want more listboxes and suggestions, more often, so long as they are accurate and reliable, so it is currently unlikely we will do this. |
