Any try to rename a file in Visual Studio with the 'Rename files' feature of VA fails with an error window.

I get the selection window 'Rename Files' and get the 'files to rename' and 'Files with #includes' lists, but after I press 'rename', the above error windows pops up (independently from which checkbox is active)

Files are under version control, but I can rename all files manually

Visual Studio Version is: 12.0.30110.00
AnkhSVN 2.5.12266.473

Thanks
Matthias

This is odd.
Are the files read-only? I guess not, since you're using SVN, just wanted to double check.
Where do you store the files? Are you using a network or a virtual drive?
Which version of Visual Assist are you using?

One more question: are you trying to rename files that are part of the currently opened solution?

No, the files are not read only, I can edit the files and rename them manually.
The files are stored locally on my SSD Drive.

Yes, the files are part of the opened solution, I am working on.
I just tested to close the solution and to rename files, but with exactly the same result.

Can you please turn on logging, reproduce the problem, and send in the log files? You can learn more about logging and where do you find the log files, here:
http://support.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W305

You can send in the files using the following form:

Did as requested.
I had a look to the log files.
Could it be a namespace problem?
The namespace NAMESPACE_SEARCHXML does not exist, this is just a define for an other name.

I'm wondering whether AnkhSVN is playing a role here.
Can you please try disabling AnkhSVN temporarily using the extension manager, to see if it makes any difference?

Tools -> Extensions and Updates... (vs2013)
Tools -> Extension manager... (vs2010, vs2012)

Are you trying to rename using Windows?
Can you please try rename a file in solution explorer? Does it work?
I have asked a developer to take a look at the logs.

Cannot find AnkhSVN in Tools -> Extensions and Updates.

I did try this:

File -> Subversion -> Change Source Control. Use this to disconnect the solution.
Tools -> Options -> Source Control. Select None

This disconnects the solution from version control.
But renaming files using VA is still not possible.

Renaming files manually within the solution explorer is possible with or whithout svn.
