The coloring of class members and member functions disappears after a second or two of correct display. Initially it appears when opening a .cpp or .h file, but in a few seconds it's gone and the text is black again without any apparent reason. Local variables and class names are still displayed in correct color, though.

This only happens (with the same project) on one of my 2 machines: on a 32-bit Win7 (the other machine is 64-bit Win7).

Please try the following:
Start Visual Studio
Using Visual Studio Extension Manager, Disable Visual Assist X
Restart Visual Studio
Exit Visual Studio
Start Visual Studio
Using Visual Studio Extension Manager, Enable Visual Assist X
Restart Visual Studio

Does this knock it into shape?

This has solved the problem, thank you!

The only side effect was that VA Outline window was gone after the manipulations, but I've put it back manually.
