I close the VA Outline tool window and re-start vs but the tool window continues to open at startup

How can I switch it off? Thanks

Which IDE and OS are you using? Which version of VA are you using?

Using VS2010 and VA 1912 under winXP if I close the VA Outline window it is still closed when I reload the IDE.

Hi, I am using VS2010 Win7 and 1912.

However, it seems to be sorted at the moment. I became so fustrated with it a few days ago that I disabled the visual assist extension using extension manager.

Switching it back on today to find the version I gave it another try, and then another and it correctly saved the tool window states/positions

Thanks

Odd, I am not quite sure what happened there. One random thought, if you work with more than one IDE open at a time, then the state of the last closed IDE might over ride any changes to window layout, or other options, that you made in the IDE you closed first.

Hopefully this stays fixed, but obviously if the problem comes back again please let us know and I will do what I can to help.

You might be right. I often have a few ide's open but thought only one when trying to solve the issue.

I also know that VS can sometimes have difficult days :)

It all seems good, thanks for the speedy replies
