The VAX "surround with" submenu is not available for non-standard extensions.

It is common practice to use an extension like ".inc" for inclusion of template bodies, to differentiate them from "interface" files (".h").

Is VA active in these .inc files? Have you told VA and the IDE that this file extension is a C++ code file, as described in this FAQ?

The surround with sub menu is available and working for me in a .inc file, using VA 1912, VS2010 and winXP. I did have to use the FAQ steps to add this file extension before VA was active in this file extension though.
