Hi, is there a way to change the background colour of the selected file in the open files dialog? I'm colour blind, and on my LCD monitor, if I click on a file, the background is blue and easily visible, but if I'm typing in the search strings area, a file is selected, but I can't tell what it is unless I look at my screen from a ridiculous angle. I'd like to change the colour of the background so it's more colourblind-friendly on my machine. Is this possible? Cheers, Antony |

Which IDE and OS are you using?
VS2008 under winXP, this colour does change slightly when changing the OS colour scheme, so the colour being used is changeable. But how it is changed will depend on the OS and IDE. |

It's VS2008 on Vista I'll delve into the Vista display properties a little more, it seems they go out of the way to hide things.
Thanks, Antony

I have found where VA is picking this colour up from:
Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization -> Customize colors -> Open classic appearance properties for more color options -> Advanced button -> Item = "3D Objects" -> Color 1
Just change this colour to a more useful colour. You can also change quite a few other colours in here as well. |
