I have a snippet with the shortcut /// It expands to something... ///////////////////// // $end$
If I have a new fresh line and press 3 times the slach / nothing happens. Now I delete the third slash and retype it, now I get the shortcut.

Which IDE and version of VA are you using? Which programming language / file extension are you using?
I have just tried this here in VS2005, VA 1845, C++, and the shortcut "///" is prompting me for a VA Snippet correctly, without having to retype any of the slashes. |

I am using the latest version.
Just try it from a fresh started VS, open a fresh file, end retry.
Sometimes it works for me too on the first try. |

I have just tried this in VC6, VS2005, VS2008 and VS2010, in C++, with a freshly opened IDE and file in each case.
The first time I type this shortcut there is a short delay, less than a second, before the listbox with the suggestion in it. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th time I type the shortcut the suggestion comes up "instantly".
Currently I am not seeing any signs of any problems here.
Can you please go to:
VA Options -> System Info -> Copy Info
and paste the details (from the clipboard) into your reply. This will give us the basic information about your setup. |

I still cannot reproduce this problem, testing VS2010 with VA 1845 under Windows 7 64bit.
Have you installed VS2010 SP1 on this machine? I don't yet have SP1 installed on this test machine, so this is a possible difference. |
