| I find the associated rule, along with the code inspection tooltip, very poor. An option for code inspection to "Add Code Issue/Checker to tooltip" would be helpful. I can't implement all the rules in my historical projects and would like to be able to disable them specifically. |

I know the problem, it is hard to tell from the tooltip alone which checker is behind a given item being marked.
Can you please show the VA Code Inspection Results window:
VAssistX -> Code Inspection -> VA Code Inspection Results
Now right click on the column headers, and you will be able to turn On the column "Checker", which for each result, tells you which checker is being used. You do need to locate the entry in the results list, but hopefully that won't be to tricky.

On reflection, if there is a lot of underlining in a file, it isn't so easy to relate a specific underline to the Code Inspection Results window, so I have put in a feature request to add the check that is being triggered to the tooltip:
