Is there / could there be an option to display entries in the alt+m drop down in file order rather than alphabetically? I tend to naturally start looking from the top/bottom of the list if it is a method that I already know the general location of, and it's always at the opposite end!

I just noticed you can do incremental searching there, nice! Maybe that works out better anyway.

In the VA Options dialog on the Advanced | Display page, select the Occurrence radio button under "Display VA Navigation Bar"

As far as I know there is no option for turning off sorting of the alt+m list.

Have you tried VA Outline?

VAssistX -> Tools -> VA Outline

Here, you see the symbols of current file in the same order as you can find them in the file.
