While using VS2019 and writing C++, my machine will periodically slow down to the point where mouse movement hitches and jumps.

I've taken an ETL trace and it shows devenv.exe spending lots of time in a VAX DLL.

Is this a known issue?

No, we aren't aware of any general issues at this time. Would you please enable va logging and send in the captured va.log once you experience one of these slow downs? Directions are here: https://docs.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W305
The generated log might point us to a problem.
