Hello Support,

At this moment we are using VS 2005.
With this IDE we have with VA (10.7.1912.0) syntax coloring in *.RC files.

Now we are evaluating VS 2010 and VS 2012.
But there is no syntax coloring in the *.rc files.
VA (10.7.1912.0) is installed for these IDE's.
On another PC we installed setup1916 on VS 2012.
But this combination has the same problem.

We are missing the coloring of the resource-ID's (like ID_ALIGN_LEFT) very much.
With this coloring we could immediately see when a define of a resource-ID was missing.

Is this a known problem with these IDE's?
How do I get it to work with VS2012?

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description, I have put in a bug report for this:

case=69846

Unfortunately I don't have a fix for you at the moment. Your resource ID's should be coloured by VA in code files though, so you can see when you are referencing an undefined resource ID, which hopefully helps a bit.
