Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 05:34:07 AM Would it be possible to have the old icons (pre-1561) for those of us who still use VC6? The new icons, while nice, stand out like a sore thumb in the IDE.
Thanks, G. |

Posted - Oct 03 2007 : 4:18:24 PM Ah interesting. If you set the font to Courier New, then it looks ok.
I forgot -- one thing that did change is that the underline is drawn one pixel lower (so there's a pixel of space between the font baseline and the top of the underline. Well, for certain fonts (such as plain Courier), the IDE packs the lines of code so closely together that we don't have this extra pixel's space to draw in.

Posted - Oct 03 2007 : 4:06:36 PM No, the dashed-line is not by design. It is supposed to be the same 2-pixel high square wave as before.
It has been changed however for VS2003/2005, to match the same shape that the IDE uses (a 3-pixel-high triangle wave).

Posted - Oct 03 2007 : 05:24:39 AM I have Courier size 10.
In what version did the underlining change and the new icons come in? I'm pretty sure I was running a 15xx version before today. I saw the date was newer so I installed it without paying too much attention to my own date. |

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 09:47:29 AM What version of VA do you have installed? You should only be seeing the new icons if you have one of the 16xx builds.
The shape of the underlining shouldn't have changed for VC6 between the 15xx and 16xx builds. What font (and size) are you using?

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 07:02:56 AM I'm seeing a small dashed dotted line and not the wavy line that I was used to. The interface has been VS2005-esque which is fine if you are using the new IDE. For the old IDE it looks wrong.
To quote Boney M: "looks like a sugar in a plum".

Posted - Oct 02 2007 : 06:21:37 AM Are you not seeing the red underlining in VC6? What font (and size) are you using?
