Posted - May 26 2009 : 12:08:32 AM VA has a very very boring problem of extended characters from 1626 to 1724, when can you resolve it? 1561 is OK: 1724: My system info(VC6.0, the same problem occurs in VS2008):

Posted - Oct 22 2009 : 5:35:38 PM Unfortunately this has not yet been fixed. We are still working on improving Unicode support in VA, but it is a big task, since we need to do this without breaking anything. |

Posted - Oct 13 2009 : 10:54:40 PM Who can tell me whether the problem has been resolved? |

Posted - Jul 15 2009 : 12:54:12 PM I am seeing the same thing here, VA is having problems showing Unicode characters in comments in its tooltips:

Posted - Jul 13 2009 : 10:24:53 AM Which IDE are you using for this test? |

Posted - Jul 12 2009 : 12:01:40 AM Yours is perfect right:) I found out a case below:
The comment actually is : /* CUISETID-?-?epid.userid */ If the the comment is : /* CUISETID, epid.userid */ It's correct. As you can see, the difference only is Chinese "-?-?" and English ",". I think this problem only appears in Windows Vista OS, maybe for its Microsoft Ya Black font. What's your opinion? Could you make a test on Vista? |

Posted - Jul 08 2009 : 11:41:34 AM wondering which problem are you still seeing? Using the files you sent me I have just been testing this in VC6.
Using Windows XP I set: Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Advanced tab -> language for non-Unicode programs = "Chinese (PRC)"
I then rebooted the machine. I then loaded the "TestMacro" workspace in VC6 and opened the "TestMacro.cpp" file. This is what I am seeing for the comment at the start of the file:
I am not sure if this is correct or not, but it looks a lot better than the problem screen shot at the start of this forum thread. |

Posted - Jul 05 2009 : 12:39:17 AM I'm sorry to say that the problem exists in 1727 as the same... What can I do for that next? |

Posted - Jun 16 2009 : 12:15:40 PM Many apologies for that. We received the files, but no one replied to you. That was a mistake on our part. Can you try VA 1727 and see if there is any difference? We have made some changes, tested with your files, to try and improve this in VA 1727:

How can I send the sample files to you? I also wanna give you my custom configuration file for VC6 and VS2008, perhaps they can help you. |

Posted - May 31 2009 : 12:55:38 AM I have the same problem, the comments are overlapped. It not only appears in comment, but also appears in Find symbol dialog box, VA X definition window, et al.
It appears when mixed Chinese characters and Latin characters are used in comment.

Posted - May 30 2009 : 11:31:15 AM We are having troubles reproducing in-house. Comments appear to be colored like comments and the spacing seems fine with Fixedsys fonts in vc6.
Does it happen in all comments, or is it related to the text in the comments? Can you send a sample source file that has the problem? Also, can you try a Tools/Options/Format/ResetAll to see if it fixes the problem? |
