Posted - Feb 09 2009 : 07:58:58 AM Hi guys,
I'm looking to deploy Visual Assist using a silent installation method. I have gotten the application to install silently with no problems, however I'm looking to also license the application silently.
Can you let me know if this is possible or what registry keys I need to put our license data into? I've found a reference to the license in HKCU/Software/Whole Tomato/Visual Assist X/ but the "key" value remains empty?
Thanks, Craig |

I don't have any experience with SCCM personally, but if you have any specific questions about the VA install process do just ask, and I will do my best to help. |

We're planning on deploying the latest VA build to users with both visual studios 2010 + 2012 on windows 7 x64 machines. Can I get the steps for unattended installation and registration?
Thanks in advance |

Why this is not posted is a good question. A silent install does not show the license agreement, so you never agree to it. I know in general people do not read license agreements, but it is sensible to at least present it, so people have some awareness of what it says. |

Posted - Apr 10 2012 : 7:48:45 PM We have machines with both Visual Studio 2008 and 2010 running on either Win7 x64 or XP Pro x86 and would like to silently deploy Visual Assist and the license to them. We don't mind if this requires two (or more) different command lines. I'm still scratching my head as to why this can't just posted somewhere publicly - if I missed it earlier in the thread, feel free to ridicule me. Thanks in advance! |
