Posted - Jan 23 2024 : 10:10:53 PM I have installed both of VS2022 community and VS2022 community Preview. But only VS2022 Community can use the XAssistX. Is this expected?
Thank you. |

Posted - Jan 25 2024 : 10:32:54 AM I have tried the same test, under Windows 11 Pro 23H2, and again, VA installs quite happily for both the normal and preview versions of Visual Studio 2022.
Can you please look in your %TEMP% directory for any files called "vsix*.log", which should be the installer log files from the VA install. Can you please then send them to me via the email:
[email protected]
including this thread ID or URL in the description, so we can match it up. Hopefully there will be some errors in the logs to explain why this isn't working. |

Posted - Jan 24 2024 : 08:14:05 AM Which installer did you run?
Which versions of Visual Studio do you have installed?
Under Windows 10, I have:
Visual Studio 2022 version 17.8.5 Visual Studio 2022 Preview version 17.9.0 preview 4.0
installed, and ran "VA_X_Setup2508_0.exe", which updated the VA install in both versions of VS2022. |
