Why does VAX do this? See below. I know the bottom is not perfect, but it would be better than throwing away the text if there's no whitespace after the cursor...

We are trying to balance having enough settings available to let people customise all the features they want / need to customise, without overwhelming you in the options dialog, as the IDE options dialog tends to 
Still, we are considering making more settings available in the options dialog:

By default, this is by design, since the text "whyOhWhy" is not a known symbol, so VA thinks you probably want to get rid of it. There is a registry setting to control this behaviour, so you can change this. It is explained here:
