Thank you for the update. Normally having the scope set to text editor is enough and correct, for example Alt-G does not make any sense outside of the text editor. Open File is one of the few commands that it makes sense to access from any scope, so Global.

It is set to global, but for some reason there is a (Text Editor) on the shortcut itself. Never seen that before...



I removed the shortcut and added it back, now it's saying (Global), and it works!

If you go into

IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard

and filter the list of shortcuts for "VAssistX.OpenFileInSolutionDialog", what is the scope, "Use new shortcut in", set to? It is probably set to "Text Editor", given what you are seeing. If you change this to "Global" and accept the change, this should fix this for you.
