Posted - Sep 26 2019 : 08:11:54 AM Hi. I'm already used Assist 2341.2 version with VS2019 16.2.5 (it works very well) Today, I updated VS2019 16.2.5 to 16.3.1
And I got crash VS2019 IDE. 1. reinstall VS2019 3 times... still crash. 2. format Windows and install VS.. but still crash..
and finally. I'm realized .vs folder problem. 1. .vs folder remove and Assist disable. - no problem. 2. and enable assist? got crash... 3. already have crash. Assist disable can't fix this problem. 4. disable Assist and remove .vs folder then have no crash
so, in my opinion, IntelliSense and Assist have some problems.
this crash throw exception and close IDE. devenv.exe unknown exception (0xe06d7363) |

Posted - Sep 27 2019 : 02:33:58 AM Oops.. I'm so sorry. apologize for misinformation.
Visaul Assist works well. Actually, perforce visual studio plugin option cause problem. "options -> source control -> helix core - general" "check out writeable files on save" enable then the crash happend. ;( |

Posted - Sep 26 2019 : 9:12:09 PM I'm using "Extensions > Manage Extensions" dialog for disable or enable.
Steps 1. .vs folder remove 2. Solution open (Visual Assist Enabled) 3. Some file open (in solution) 4. Few seconds or few minutes waiting then the crash happened, with exception dialog 5. Solution open again 6. Again Step 4.. and loop... :( 7. Try to fix 8. Solution open, and not yet crash, fast trying Visual Assist Disable, and restart. (not yet remove .vs folder) 9. Solution open, and waiting.. still crash happened. 10. .vs folder remove and Solution open (Visual Assist Disalbed) 11. no crash.
I think, InteliSense or Visual Assist start parsing and cause *.db file some problems. So, Just Visual Assist disabling can't fix the crash. with remove .vs folder can fix the crash.

Posted - Sep 26 2019 : 10:38:10 AM How are you disabling Visual Assist? Try disabling Visual Assist in the "Extensions > Manage Extensions" dialog if you aren't already. Doing so requires a restart.
When is the crash happening? E.G. Directly after loading a solution? |
