Posted - May 20 2019 : 08:14:50 AM The font size in the navigation bar keeps reverting to the default size of 9pt.
To reproduce, - Change the environment font to a different size (8pt in my case) - Close and re-open VS - Open a document, the navigation bar is font size 9 - Open tools > options dialog and choose OK - the navigation bar changes to size 8 (presumably settings change broadcast) - Open another document and see that the size picked is 9
I'm seeing this in VS 2019.
VA_X.dll file version 10.9.2333.0 built 2019.05.04 DevEnv.exe version 16.0.28803.452 Enterprise msenv.dll version 16.0.28803.449 Comctl32.dll version 6.10.17763.503 Windows 10 10.0 1809 Build 17763.503 8 processors (x86-64, WOW64) Language info: 1252, 0x809

Posted - May 21 2019 : 2:48:31 PM That is the pattern, thank you. I realised I should just make the font a lot smaller as well, then it is a lot more obvious when it is changing size. The difference between 8 and 9 is not that obvious to me, since I am just testing this and looking for the pattern at work. |

At the risk of a stupid answer... I can see it ;)

When you say "open another document" what are you doing? Using the Open File dialog? Alt-O, just changing between open tabs with Ctrl-Tab?
See this gif for simplest steps : https://imgur.com/a/41zjWXy
- Have no documents open. - use Shift-Alt-O to open a file - See the font is the default size - Open then close the options dialog - See the font adjust size
hope that explains it |

There is something going on here, I have managed to make it happen once or twice in VS2019, but not reliably or on demand. When you say "open another document" what are you doing? Using the Open File dialog? Alt-O, just changing between open tabs with Ctrl-Tab? |
