Posted - Aug 27 2018 : 12:29:55 PM Hi,
I used to benefit from VA even for additional programming languages, by toggling the RestrictVaToPrimaryFileTypes registry flag. Among others shortcut key '{' to surround with '{}' and '/' to comment a line. Since I upgraded to VS2017, it still work for HTML, XML,... but no longer for .js files.
On my machine, I have also VS2013. VA works well for all types (including .js).
I reinstalled my machine recently, but it did not help.
At my office, I have a build server using VS2017 out-of-the-box (with no extra plug-in); I just installed VA on it, and it has exactly the same behaviour (works for all non C/C++/C# types except .js)
I know that non C/C++/C# files are not priority for you, but can you at least confirm this problem?
Regards. Leto

Posted - Aug 28 2018 : 11:33:36 AM Confirmed, I am seeing the same problem here. Since we are currently not supporting JavaScript this is just something that has broken. You might have some luck telling the IDE to use the C++ editor for JavaScript, rather than the JavaScript editor. |
