Hey guys,
I'm using Win 8.1, x64, VS Build 2258.5 and on UE4.19. I upgraded Build 2258 and now Open File in Solution is always stalling and taking a bit longer than before.

Previous behavior:
After generating a project, it might take a little while (5-10s) but subsequent openings of the project would be instant.

Now:
After every project open, it takes 10-30 seconds on first run. It shows "Open File in Solution [loading]". If I start typing the file and press escape, it instantly shows the file in the list.

I'm also noticing a lot of files & directories included that I don't think they should be if I keep the search box empty. Eg: Maya2017 include directory, Autodesk Shared\Materials\*\*.png, etc

Is there a setting to prevent this or at least revert to previous caching behavior?

Thank you for the update, I am glad this was easily fixed :) These settings can get toggled by accident, if you hit the keyboard shortcut with the Open File dialog open, so at a guess this is what happened here.

That fixed it! Selecting show only files in solution is back to the old behavior and also will reference the UE4 files

Also did not know that right clicking could enable/disable features like include/exclude external files! Super useful

Let's start with the png files, since these sound like a well defined group of files to check.

If you filter the dialog to the png files, what do these files have listed in the "Project" column of the Open File dialog?

In the Open File dialog, do you have:

Show only files in the current solution

turned On or Off? Can you please also check and see if you have:

Open File in Solution dialog -> Right Click -> Include all files in solution directories

turned On or Off?

I should also say previous behavior was working with enabled UE4 support through the registry setting as well as a custom va_stdafx.h with this:
#define BBR_API
#define BBRBP_API
#define BBREDITOR_API
