Posted - Jan 10 2018 : 02:30:04 AM Good morning!
Recently I have started to use Visual Studio 2015 with PHP Tools plugin as PHP IDE and I have noticed that Visual Assist feature "Open file in solution" is not working, although it is available through menu or keyboard shortcut. This feature have nothing to do with specific programming language, I suppose, and it would be very handy in large PHP projects.
Presently, "Open file in soulution" dialog (and VA View as well) behaves as if the solution is empty (no file is displayed or found at all).
Is there any way to make this feature work out of C/C++ projects? Thanks for any suggestion.
Best regards Vladimir Pospisil [email protected] |

Posted - Jan 12 2018 : 03:26:05 AM Great, that was the issue! PHP project was created with .phpproj extension. I just changed it to .vcxproj (and in solution file as well) and problem is solved. Thank you very much!

Posted - Jan 11 2018 : 3:57:37 PM How are you opening your "solution"? Are you opening a directory, directory tree, or an actual .SLN file, with related project files?
If you are opening project files, what is their file extension? For reference, C++ project files have the extension .VCXPROJ for VS2015.
I am wondering if you are opening a PHP project instead, which VA won't know anything about. As such, VA won't parse the project files, so it won't know about the file list for the project / solution. |
