Posted - Aug 12 2016 : 07:18:31 AM Alt-G is my most used VA command, but for a while now, the result window is not constant, so going through several symbols, it opens each file in the same window. I used to be able to go back with Ctrl-Tab but I can't anymore an it drives me bonkers.
I have searched all VA and VS options but can't find how to keep them persistent as it has been working for me for years. Is it a new feature that can be turned off? Or should I revert to a previous version?
I am using VS 2013 Pro and VA_X.dll file version 10.9.2086.0 built 2015.12.16
Thanks for any help |

This is really useful for those who like to customize when the file preview tab is used.
The setting in the Visual Assist options menu is described here: https://support.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W340 |

Posted - Aug 12 2016 : 09:51:52 AM Hello ericgen,
It sounds like you would like for files to stop opening in the 'preview' window so that they will stay open?
If so, navigate to the ( Tools | Options... | Tabs and Windows ) menu, then un-tick 'Allow new files to be opened in the preview tab'.
Please tell me if that helps your issue. |
