I cannot find an option, and the light-bulb icon is getting in the way of Visual Assist's dropdowns. Visual Assist's refactoring is better, so I want to get rid of the "code-assistance".
I also don't like the fact that Microsoft appear to have increased my left margin in order to accommodate the light-bulb! |

Posted - Oct 16 2015 : 03:45:11 AM Thank you Sean. I've up-voted that one. Let's hope that Microsoft address this before long.
Apparently suppressing code-analysis helps, but it's set at a project level, and I couldn't get agreement from the team to do this! |

Posted - Oct 15 2015 : 3:28:12 PM It doesn't look like there is a way to disable the lightbulbs without fully disabling their intellisense (Tools | Options | Text Editor | C/C++ | Advanced | Browsing/Navigation | Disable Database).
There is a uservoice request to be able to disable the quick action items that you can vote up: http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio/suggestions/9139204-option-to-disable-quick-action-squiggles
