In snippet editor, all options beside "Delete" are inactive. My support ended 2014-11-12, but that should not disable funtions in VA ? That would be rather cheezy, wouldn't it ?

Posted - Aug 28 2015 : 02:02:36 AM On your screenshot you have selected a Type "Refactoring", and user can't add new refactoring snippets, because VA would not know how to use them. You can only delete them to get them regenerated by VA in case, when you change their content and want reset it to default.
When you change Type to "All by title" are other buttons enabled? |

Posted - Aug 28 2015 : 01:49:05 AM Thank you for tips: 1) No, cpp.tpl under %AppData%\\Roaming\\VisualAssist\\AutoText is read/write. 2) As you can see, I've added a few entries (with Notepad++).
3) Yes, the cpp.tpl is changed when deleting an entry. 4) No. 5) No, not yet.

Posted - Aug 28 2015 : 01:39:42 AM Apologies for this, this should not happen.
Please: 1) Check if your snippet files are not read-only. http://docs.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W449 Snippets directory may differ depending on OS, IDE, on my Win7 x64 machine, the directory is: C:\\Users\\Dusan\\AppData\\Roaming\\VisualAssist\\Autotext
2) Put here a screenshot of VA Snippet Editor in that wrong state.
3) Check that Delete button works and snippet is really deleted when editor is closed.
4) Do you have defined Shared Snippets directory? http://docs.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W433
5) Have you tried to reinstall VA? |

Posted - Aug 28 2015 : 01:23:26 AM Sorry ;) I have VA installed both in VS2012 Pro and VS2013 Pro, and this happens in both. |
