Visual Assist build: 10.8.2042.0
IDE: VS2005 English

When no source documents are open and the Find Symbol dialog in invoked, symbol syntax highlighting does not work. When a source file is open, syntax highlighting works.

The problem exists in VS2005, but I have not been able to reproduce it in VS2012.

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description. A little unexpected, but it happens. I have confirmed this only happens in VS2008 and earlier, which is why you are not seeing in VS2012.
