Posted - Dec 17 2013 : 05:30:30 AM In visual studio 2010, this feature has started rendering black squares in place of () and {}. This started occuring around the time I started concurrently using VS2012, also with visual assist, which exhibits no issues.

Posted - Jan 10 2014 : 03:53:14 AM Unfortunately, that was not my problem. The colours in the IDE settings were the same as the ones in the screenshot. Changing the background colour made no difference, neither did changing the foreground color (i.e, the blocks were still black no matter what colour I set the foreground or background to).
In fact, I am incorrect. I was looking at the "Brace Matching" entries, rather than the ones you specified.
Thank you for your help.

Posted - Dec 18 2013 : 11:37:41 PM Apologies, you should not be seeing this problem. The background colour for VA highlighting of matching and mismatching brackets is controlled via the IDE options dialog. Look for:
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> Display items
And the items:
VA Brace Error VA Brace Matching
and just change the background colour, this should fix the problem for you. |
