Posted - Nov 09 2012 : 03:42:27 AM Hey I have found that visual assist causing visual studio 2012 to crash all the time. The crash happends when I copy&paste code. It doesn't happened all the time but several times each day and sometimes repetedly. It could happened 10 times in an hour if I'm unlucky. This is obviously very annoying and harm my productivety. I just upgraded my PC and have a fresh install of windows. The problem has been persistant on both machines. The only other tool I'm using is RockMargin. The only relationship between the crashes and my activety is that it happends when I copy&past code.
So please if anybody know of anything I can do to stop the crashes I would be very greatful otherwise I might need to stop using visual assist.
Thanks |

Posted - Nov 09 2012 : 10:27:05 AM Are you able to easily disable RockMargin, to see if this makes any difference?
Does turning Off:
VA Options -> Advanced -> General -> Display paste menu with X items
make any difference?
Next time the IDE crashes can you please save out a mini dump and send it to us? Hopefully this will offer some clues as to what is going on here. This FAQ entry explains saving out a mini dump:
