I have the following problem:
VA works fine in the first instance of VS2008.
If I open a second instance, then all entries in the VAssistX menu are disable. All, but: "VA View" and "Find References Results".
This does not change if I load a solution.
Clicking on "VA View" has no result.
I have found out that if I start the second instance of VS2008 as admin user, it will work (but this is not acceptable).
I'm running Winwows 7 / 64 Enterprise.
Please help!

How are you loading the second instance of VS2008?
If you hold down the shift key while left clicking on the shortcut for VS2008 on the task bar to load a second instance, VA will not be loaded. This is actually because the shift key stops VS2008 from loading addin's, so it is not something we have any control over.
If this is what is happening, can you try middle clicking on the taskbar shortcut instead. This should fix the problem. |
