Using the last build 2114... This function has stopped to work in VS 2015. Rebooting does not help. Reinstalling VA does not help. But it does work in VS 2013 on the same machine!
I'm sorry you are having this issue. I wasn't able to reproduce this with Visual Studio 2015 Pro, Visual Assist build 2114 and Windows 10.
Would you mind sending us logging info? A log of the same test conducted in Visual Studio 2015 and 2013 might help us track down what is failing in 2015. - Open a test solution, and navigate to a specific file / line for the test - Enable logging via the VAssistX menu: https://support.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W305 - Attempt to use Surround Selection via character toggle - Close Visual Studio, and collect the logs
