When code snippets can be added in the snippet editor it would be cool if one could set that, E.G., pressing '"' would toggle adding/removing surrounding '"'-s to/from the selection. Based on whether it had '"' prefix/postfix. Similarly to how pressing '/' works by default with comments, but configurable.

Interesting idea, and actually makes a lot of sense. I have put in a feature request for this to see what our developers make of this idea:
