Would be nice if VAssistX|Tools|Sort Selected Lines worked on text files in Visual Studio 2017. It is greyed out.

By default VA is not active in text files, which includes not offering sorting. However if you use this setting:

https://support.wholetomato.com/default.asp?W326

to enable VA in additional file types then VA will offer sorting in txt files. Just be sure to close the IDE before changing this setting in the registry.
