Hello,
First of all: keep up the good work, I have been using VA for ages and it's an awesome productivity tool for VC++.
To make it even more productive for us, it would be helpful to add an extra column to the 'Find Symbol' dialog to display the full filename.
At this time, when equally named symbols exist in multiple files, you have to hover the mouse pointer over the symbol name to see the filename. As we are working on a huge solution, with duplicate symbol names spread over a lot of files in different projects, it's quite hard to directly find the symbol of interest when the filename and path isn't directly visible.
This shouldn't be that hard too implement, as the filename is already shown in the tooltip.
Thanks. |

This is something we are considering adding, it is useful to know it would also help you:
case=35181
An alternative thought for now, select all of the matching symbols and open them, then close the files you don't want. This might be quicker and a little easier if you only have 2 or 3 references to consider. |
