I have a tendency to type "(" after a function, and with auto-insert I usually end up with func()() or func(()); I usually notice this when it's already too late, and when I don't, I still have to undo twice to get the code I expect.
The auto-insert closing matching brace or quote is useful to me, but the auto-insert () after a function is just a pain, so I can't understand for the life of me why these two options are together in the options menu. |

I have put in a feature request for you:
case=90756
I expect it to happen, so it is quite surprising for me when it does not happen for some reason. But I guess it is only a matter of getting used to it. |
