This is an interesting thought, I have put in a feature request to see what our developers make of this:

As a work around, depending on the IDE you are using, you could try using an IDE macro to swap files, in place of VA's Alt-O. This would allow you to specify which extensions to include, and which to exclude. A sample IDE macro that does this is available here:
