I have installed 1434 recently but have noticed that my IDE (VS 6) slows down considerably. It's particularly noticable when entering text (waiting for Autotext suggestions can take several seconds), clicking on Go To button (Alt-G) takes a long time before the file list is displayed, and typing in the Context field displays each char you typed at about 2-3 sec intervals.

I didn't have any of these problems with 1418.

This is almost making my IDE unusable. Is there some parameter I haven't set in 1434 or what else could be wrong.

I also notice that I've got the MSDEV-takes-forever-to-exit feature back again.

When IDE slows down CPU usage approaches 99% (see adjacent topic in this thread).

Change is not made without inconvenience, even from worse to better.
