I have just installed VS2005 and Visual Assist X 1432 on a PC with IE Beta 1 installed.
VS2005 fails to start unless I remove VAX. Could this be related to my use of IE 7 Beta 1?
How can I turn on VAX logging if VS2005 won't start (I found the answer and included the log files below)?
Thanks,
Frank

strange. i have just installed IE 7 Beta 1 on a winXP SP2 machine, and VS 2005 beta 2 is loading just fine for me. this could be something about your IDE settings, and what you have it set to do on loading.
i am loading to the start page, rather than automatically loading a project. if you are set to auto load a project, what sort of project is this? do you have any other plugin's installed? |

Thanks for the information. I found that by uninstalling the ResOrg add-in (http://www.riverblade.co.uk/products/resorg/) the problem went away.
I also have Visual Studio 2003 installed, and was using ResOrg there. I have not tried reinstalling ResOrg. Maybe reinstalling would cause the problem to occur again, but maybe not.
Thanks,
