When typing an override for virtual function declared in parent class as virtual int rowCount(const QModelIndex &parent = QModelIndex()); VAX1428 suggests me this: virtual int rowCount(const QModelIndex &parent /* = QModelIndex */()); which effectively means virtual int rowCount(const QModelIndex &parent());
this is what is supposed to happen when typing the function declaration in the cpp file. as far as i know you always have to remove the default parameter in the declaration. VA suggests it, as a comment, so that you know there is a default, and its default value, without having to check in the header file.
